Our Project is located in Boquete, Chiriqui Province, Panama - Where there's plenty of activity to keep you busy; please see bottom of the page for some useful travel information....much more info on local contacts & resources will be posted soon
Our properties are in Boquete Panama, a thirty five to forty minute drive from the regional airport in David. This airport has become an "International Airport" in the past 18 months, with flights and connections now coming in and out of San Jose, Costa Rica. In the coming couple of years direct flights from North America and other locations are planned, which will be a great convenience to those of us living in the area.
David is the second largest city in Panama, and is just a one hour flight from Panama City; there are several flights daily from Panama to David. Please note that you use a DIFFERENT airport for flights within Panama (see below) than Tocumen Airport, where flights arrive internationally.
David offers most of the conveniences of most modern cities, such as a new private hospital, private schools, shopping centers and super markets, cinemas and hundreds of businesses and professional services. This is where you'll come for major shopping trips, or to go to the movies, when you live in Boquete.
To get to our current Project, MOUNTAIN VIEW FARMS, coming from David :
The Road that leads to our project is a gravel road located on the RIGHT, exactly 23 kilometers from the Pan American Highway in David.
Get onto the Pan America Highway and the first business you pass is the Ricardo Perez Toyota Dealership on your left.
Set your trip odometer to ZERO when you enter this "highway" which leads to Boquete, and start driving, leaving the Ricard Perez Toyota Dealership
Drive toward Boquete and go exactly 23 kilometers
After 22 kilometers you'll see the "Emerald Drive" housing development with homes, out in open fields, on your left. Our entrance road is across from Emerald Drive - exactly 23 kilometers up the highway from the Ricardo Perez Toyota Dealership. There is a very small concrete bus stop, just to the right of the gravel road that will lead you to us. Go 1.2 km down the gravel road to our project on the right.
It is much better to come to visit with one of our small team of 3. We are not the type of people who pressure clients. At the same time, our gate is usually locked, and will be until we have some finished homes & residents. In order foy you to know where lot lines are, what lots are available, and what we are doing in the project in general, you will be muc better served by calling ahead and making an appointment. This way you can see lot plans, and ask us questions. We will be very open and honest with you about everything. Our ethics and high standards are the reason that we have clients.
If you are coming from Boquete, drive toward David. You'll pass Brisas Boquetanas - a subdivision on your right, and a few kilometers later you will see the ROAD TO CALDERA on you left.
- Go exactly 2.4 kilometers beyond the road to Caldera, still going toward David. Go left onto a gravel road on your left - there is a small Bus stop next to the gravel road (and a small hotel 150 feet BEFORE our road, also on the left).
- Drive 1,2 kilometers down this gravel road. We have reconditioned most of the road and are getting treaday to resurface the last 400 meters in 2009. 1.2 Kilometers from the man road, you'll see our land on the right. It's surrounded completely by new stone walls, and you'll see our new electrical service.
- It's always best to call ahead so we can have the gate open for you. Local cell phone for Pool Gomez, property manager is 6 615 5328

Other important information and travel tips - cell phones, local safe & reliable transportation:
In the coming 1-2 years, direct flights from North America will definitely be coming into the airport in David.
Until then, one typically flies into Panama City's Tocumen Airport. Continental, American and several other major airlines serve Panama as it is the banking and business center for all of Latin America.
There are hundreds of hotels in Panama City, which is very modern and safe with excellent shopping and hundreds of restaurants, many gourmet quality. A tour of the Panama Canal and the surrounding area including Amador and the restaurants at the end of that AMADOR causeway, make for an excellent day & evening when you arrive in Panama. Have dinner at the end of the Amador Causeway, and you will have an beautiful view of Panama City !
For transportation from the airports & in PANAMA City, we recommend that you contact Mr. Jose Saenz, the owner of Bocas Frog Transport & tour company.
He operates 5 - 7 private taxis, plus a van, driven by polite, mostly bilingual drivers, and they seem to always charge LESS than regular city cabs - and are MUCH more reliable and comfortable. If you are having Jose pick you up upon your arrival in Panama be SURE to send him all of the following information:
- your full name and how many people you are traveling with
- What hotel you are staying at in Panama City
- Your airline and flight number, and what city you are departing from
- Your scheduled arrival time
Write to Jose at:jose@goldenfrog.net. His cell phone number is: (507) 6 614 7811*
Jose's web site is: WWW.GOLDENFROG.NETJose is 100% reliable and can suggest and arrange fantastic tours for you, make travel arrangements and take care of all of your transportation needs in Panama. He is a great guy and one of the best people we know in Panama as far as being ethical, providing safe, reliable and inexpensive transportation. He can help you with domestic airline reservations, and if you'e having trouble finding ANYTHING, he is a good friend to have. We can not recommend him highly enough. Please tell him that Timothy at Panama Farms referred you.
* Again, remember that it is necessary to dial a "6" prefix for cell phones in Panama
We recommend that if you plan to spend more than a few days in Panama or will be returning to the country, that you purchase a cell phone in your first couple of days in Panama. They can be bought for as little as $15 and are available at one of the many cell phone stores in Panama City or David. We recommend that you buy a telephone that works on one of the 3 major networks. Movistar is the service we use, but there are several companies. Purchase a $10 or $15 telephone usage card. The store where you buy the phone will show you how to input your "minutes". Once you have done this, you will have a permanent phone number in panama. which is a great convenience. These phones will call anywhere in the world. To get to David, and then to the Boquete area and our properties, you'll leave Panama City using the domestic, regional airport in ALLBROOK. Allbrook is a 10 - 15 minute taxi ride from Panama City, and Jose Saenz's drivers can take you there. Jose Saenz can also make your flight reservations for your DOMESTIC flights to and from the city of David for you, at no additional cost.
The two airlines that provide service to David from Panama City are:

We'll be adding more information about Boquete and activities available here, but the town and the area n general is frendly and the people are very welcoming.
There's a large community of North Americans, Europeans and people from all over the world living in Boquete, so there are all kinds of activities available
Hiking, tours, white water rafting, deep sea fishing are all close by. One company that we recommend for River Rafting in Boquete is PANAMA RAFTERS, located in downtown Boquete.
Their owner, Kevin is a hands on, friendly guide who will show you a great experience.
They can be contacted at www.panamarafters.com. Their office phone is (507) 720 2712 Ask for Kevin.
